DESCRIPTION
Aït Benhaddou (fortified village in English, ksar in Berber) is an important and well-known place along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech.
Departure from Marrakech at 8:00 o’clock in the morning and drive for about 190 km, passing vast landscapes through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi’n Tichka pass. Stopping for photos along the way, and stopping to have breakfast. We will visit the town of Telouet and its ancient 17th century kasbah.
Afterwards we will continue our trip in the direction of Ouarzazate, where we will visit the UNESCO protected Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. We will have lunch here and then visit the Atlas Film Studios. Return to Marrakech at 7 or 8 p.m. as it is only a 3.5 hour drive.
