DESCRIPTION

1st. day:

Departure at 8 AM, the pass of Tichka, midday at Ouarzazate and then the valley of the Draa, Agdz, visit of the Kasbah of Tamnougalt, dinner and overnight in the hotel in Tamnougalt.

2nd. day:

Valley of Draa, Zagora, lunch in a local family’s place in Tamegroute, visit of the village and departure to the desert, dunes of Erg de Juif, the Sacred Oasis. In the evening, you will share an excellent dinner next to a fire place, then followed by darboukas (local drums), lyrics and traditional dances. Overnight in typical nomadic tents.

3rd day:

Dromadary ride in the dunes, visit to the nomads and return. Dinner and night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

4th day:

Return to Marrakech, visit and lunch in Ait Ben Haddou. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

DESCRIPTION

1st day:

In the morning departure, travel through the Draa valley, which is rich in traditional villages and palm groves, visit of Agdz and Zagora. Lunch in a local family’s home, visit of the village. Arrival at Erg de Juif, sunset in the dunes. In the evening, you will share an excellent dinner next to a fireplace, then followed by darboukas (local drums), lyrics and traditional dances. Overnight in typical nomadic tents.

2nd day:

Dromadary ride, departure in 4WD jeep, lunch at the Sacred Oasis. Arrival at the dunes of Chegaga in the afternoon. Baking bread in the desert sand. Evening around the fire with the rhythm of darboukas (local drums). Overnight in typical nomadic tents.

3rd day:

Return to Ouarzazate passing by Iriqui, a midday break in Foum Zguid. Visit of Tazenakht, a carpet village. Arrival in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.

DESCRIPTION

Departure from Tamegroute to desert – through typical villages with earthen houses, palm groves, hamada (stone desert) and sand areas. Riding on our dromedaries about 1 1/2 hours to the desert camp. Sunset in the dunes.

In the evening you will share an excellent dinner next to an open fireplace. Traditional atmosphere with Berber music and lyrics. Overnight in a nomads tent. In the morning – after a delicious breakfast – dromedary ride in the dunes. Return to Tamegroute before noon.

Option 1:

You go with your own car to M’hamid. In M’hamid we go on with our dromedaries to the desert camp. Included: Guide, dromedary ride, overnight/ accomodation, dinner and breakfast. Not included: Drinks

Option 2:

We pick you up at Tamegroute and bring you to M’hamid, where our guide and the dromedaries are awaiting you. At the end of the tour we pick you up at M’hamid and bring you back to Tamegroute.

DESCRIPTION

Merzouga is a small village in southeastern Morocco, about 35 kilometres southeast of Rissani, about 55 kilometers from Erfoud, and about 50 kilometers from the Algerian border.

Day 1: Marrakech – Tadart – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Skoura – Dades Valley

Departure from Marrakech at 7:00 am. We will drive for approximately two hours through the Atlas mountains via the Tizi ‘n Tichka pass, stopping for photos along the way, and stopping to have breakfast. We will stop to visit the town of Telouet and its ancient 17th century kasbah. Then we will drive in the direction of Ourzazate where we will visit the UNESCO protected Ait Ben Haddou kasbah. After having lunch we will visit the Atlas Film Studios. Afterwards we will continue our trip to Skoura, a town that overlooks many other beautiful kasbahs, in the direction of Dades Valley. The night will be spent at a hotel in Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todhra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel Trek – Desert Camp

After the breakfast, we will drive to Todgha city to explore Todra Gorge, and then go to Tinjdad village, where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we will pass through the towns of Arfoud and Rissani in the direction of Merzouga, home of Erg Chebbi, the tallest sand dunes in Morocco. We will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon/early evening, where you will have some time to relax at the swimming pool and have berber tea. Around 5:30pm, we will ride the dromedaries from the hotel for about 1h30 through the desert dunes. We will arrive at the berber tents, have some time to relax, drink berber tea with nomads at the camp, enjoy sandboarding in the dunes and go over to the dunes to watch the sunset. Dinner will be at the camp, followed by Berber music and lyrics around the open fireplace. Overnight in the berber tent.

Day 3: Merzouga – Fes

We will wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise. Afterwards you will have time in the camp to try out sandboarding, if you like it, to have breakfast and to take a shower (if you choose the shared tour, shower and breakfast will be at the hotel). Then we will ride dromedaries back to Merzouga to the hotel and meet our driver. After that, we will go to Fes, where the tour ends.

3 days – 2 nights

4WD jeep or minibus, dromedary ride, departure: Marrakech

Vegetarian meals on request. Our meals are prepared of fresh ingredients that are mostly produced in our region. Lunch at local Berber hotel-restaurants.
